The Gentlemen of Dermatology strive to
improve the field of dermatology through gentlemanly discourse, mentorship, and comradery. In doing so, we bring big derm energy to the field of dermatology.
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen of dermatology include physician, advance practice practitioner, medical student, and undergraduate members.
Member Categories & Dues
Any dermatologist with greater than three years of post-residency practice experience, who has been certified by the American Board of Dermatology, received specialty certification in dermatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, or advance practice practitioner with greater than six years of dermatology work experience shall be eligible to be a High Lady or Gentleman. High Ladies and Gentlemen shall have full membership rights as recognized under customary parliamentary practice, including, but not by way of limitation, the rights to attend membership meetings, to participate in discussion, to vote, to be a candidate for elective office and to accept appointment to committees and councils.
Annual Membership Dues for High Ladies and Gentlemen of Dermatolgoy = $195
Any dermatologist who is currently in his/her first to third year post-dermatology residency or advance practice practitioner with six or fewer years of dermatology work experience shall be eligible to become a Lady or Gentlemen of Dermatology. Lady and Gentleman members shall have all the rights of High Lady and Gentleman members.
Annual Membership Dues for Lady or Gentlemen of Dermatology = $50
Any physician who is currently participating in a training program in dermatology which is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education, American Osteopathic Association, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada shall be eligible to be a an Apprentice Lady or Gentleman of Dermatology. Apprentice Ladies and Gentlemen shall have all of the rights of active members except the right to hold elected office or the right to vote in elections provided, however, that when appointed to any commission, council, committee or task force, apprentice members may vote on matters before that group.
Apprentice Lady and Gentleman Members = Complimentary
Any medical student or undergraduate student interested in pursuing a career in dermatology. These members shall benefit specifically from mentorship opportunities.
Lady in Waiting or Squire = Complimentary
A Regent, Alchemist, or Merchant Member shall be a person currently employed or engaged in a business activity that supports the specialty of dermatology. These members shall be non-dermatologist physicians or PhD holders serving as medical science liaisons (Regent), PhD holders or other scientists (Alchemist) devoting a major portion of their time to dermatologic research in industry settings, or industry partners whose careers are devoted to promoting and improving the field of dermatology (Merchant). She or he shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of membership except the right to vote or hold an elective office.
All applications for Regent, Alchemist, and Merchant membership shall be evaluated by the Membership Committee and voted on by the Board of Directors. The Gentlemen of Dermatology Society reserves the privilege to limit the number of Regent, Alchemist, and Merchant members from a given company. If a Regent, Alchemist, and Merchant member leaves the company under which her/his membership was approved, she/he must notify the Gentleman of Dermatology Society. The Gentleman of Dermatology Society reserves the privilege to terminate Regent, Alchemist, or Merchant Member membership if a Regent, Alchemist, or Merchant Member leaves the company under which her/his membership was approved.

An individual in good standing in any of the following categories shall be eligible to be a Member of the Court of the Gentleman of Dermatology Society:

Yes! Lady of Dermatology members are welcome and encouraged to join.
Membership dues are used to support the cost of maintaining the society, hosting social events in conjunction with large dermatology conferences like AAD, ASDS, and others, and to support our mission of generating relevant CME and mentorship opportunities for our members.
