Dr. Neelam Khan is a Board-certified Dermatologist working in downtown DC at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery, founded by the legendary Dr. Tina Alster. Dr. Khan specializes in both cosmetic, laser, and medical dermatology and is recognized as a “Top Doctor” for Dermatology by Washington Magazine.
Dr. Khan attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate degree, completed a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and obtained both her Masters of Science and Doctorate of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, before pursuing her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate in New York City.
Dr. Khan serves on leadership committees for both the Women’s Dermatologic Society and Skin of Color Society and mentors many medical students and residents in dermatology. She is an avid fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine, and Washington DC Dermatological Society.
In her spare time, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time in Georgetown with her husband and one year old son, Shah.
